I got an i730 Nascar battery cover that I stripped the paint off of and it looks pretty damn slick if I do say so myself, its totally flat, it isn't embossed for the Nextel logo/sticker on the back of it. I'm gonna strip the paint off my 860 battery door now but the speaker grill will still be black. Are the speaker grills plastic or metal? How do I get the grill off? Do I have to take the entire phone apart to do it? I'm wanting to strip the paint off it if its possible so its at least silver looking.
I'd just dive into it but my girl has my phone till she gets back in town and I wanna know whats involved before I dive into it and fuck my phone up. Thanks for any ideas or help with this.

i have a couple silver 860 speaker grills if you want one let me know, and no you do not have to take the whole phoen apart to remove the grill. it is stuck on there with glue it peels off very easily.

Thanks zina but is the grill metal or plastic? And Evilvinny....what am I supposed to be reading there??? That looks like one crazy ass website and I can't find what it has to do with the speaker grill :) It was interesting reading though from what I did read of it...
