well its been almost a month since i last posted due to some people who believe they know EVERYTHING there is to know about the i876
anyways
i have been having a problem connecting the i876 to webjal to upload ringers
i have searched all over the net and there are many people with this problem
now please, only post if you are using a i876 currently and dont try to give ideas unless you know they work on your own personal i876:lol:

I am using a i876 and there is no way to connect it to webjal. It uses linux so it's not compatible. You can upload ringtones and wall papers using the phone's storage card.

ok now how do i do it with the storage card?
i have tryed mp3 and wavs and there is no option to set as a ringtone
its nice to actually talk to someone who uses this phone too and not people who just assume :)

On media center when you select the mp3 and press the menu button it should appear the ringtone option. If it's not you are going to need to make a few changes. The program I use to change the settings of the mp3 is dbpowerAMP. Try this settings they worked for me:

-Set Bit Rate to 32 or 64 kbps

-Set Channels to Mono

-Set Frequency to 8000

i currently use that program for my dads mike phone to make ringers for him
i switched the setting to what you said and still it does not show up as a ringtone option
i placed them in the audio folder as well

which version of dbpowerAMP do you use?
how big are the files you put on the card?

I think that the problem is the size of the file as you mentioned, right now I am using a real small file 46kb. I'll try to test some other mp3 with different lengths...

Easy, enter to idenexus.org, then download the lastest myj@l ringtone loader modded by idnx and enjoy. That myj@l was modded 1 or 2 months ago and it works perfectly with the i876. The i876's ringtones must be 128kbs quality. I hope this help you, btw idnx is a spanish forum.

tried to re-install webjal??? i had this issue w/a i860 (long time ago) and re-installing worked for me

iv tryed it on 3 of my computers
doesnt work on any
it worked on my friends i860, my old i880 worked too
some people have said the i876 from different networks work so i dont know
every mike phone iv done has worked except this one
